Regardless of my pickiness, A Touch of Darkness by Scarlett St. It didn’t make me believe that it was over….But that’s just me. It felt like a tiff between two people, nothing that could potentially have everlasting consequences/effects. It didn’t affect me, didn’t make me feel for either of our characters. Not to mention, I felt like the conflict fell a bit flat. Minthe seemed to only show up to spur along some parts of the story but as Hade’s ex-lover, I would’ve loved to see her stir the pot more. One of the few things that made me rate this a 3 was there wasn’t much world building and the fact that I wished we had more conflict with Minthe. I would love to see more of Persephone in the Underworld and her ascension to Goddess-hood and Queen.
